Fisheries New Zealand, a branch of the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and the developer,
Mogeo provides the NZ Fishing Rules app (the app) as a free app.
The information contained in the app is a summary of the recreational fishing rules for New Zealand
and is intended as a guide only. The recreational fishing rules are subject to change at any time and it
is your responsibility to keep up to date with the full fishing rules. To check the rules or for detailed
information about the laws and regulations governing recreational fishing in New Zealand waters,
contact your nearest MPI office or visit the MPI website.
Your privacy is important to us and we are committed to ensuring the privacy, security and
confidentiality of all the information we hold.
Information Collection and Use
The app will ask for location data, to determine which region you are currently in and deliver location
based information to you. You can use this app without providing any personal information if you
disable the geolocation function.
You can voluntarily provide personal information through the app to subscribe to an MPI email

website. We will use the information we collect and share it with third parties only as specified.
The information you provide may be seen by staff, and by contracted or third party site administrators
responsible for app administration, maintenance, or related services. Information may also be stored
in a secure database by a third party acting on our behalf.
